Welcome to Amare Bengals
Located in Central, Ohio (Columbus, OH)
Here at the Amare house, we pride ourselves in loving animals (hint the name!). We want to share the love of our family with yours. Bringing a kitten home can be a big step. So let us help you get your foot in the door with giving you a new family member that will love you as much as you love them.
Bengal cats are a lot of responsibility and require more attention than what most of us know as, a cat. Learning from years of ownership and guidance is one of the ways we are here to help. We encourage anyone to reach out to us for a second opinion. A client of ours or not, we love to help where we can.
We offer a few great resources that continue to be updated when we can.

So how do you know that you'll have a loving animal?
Whether people want to admit it or not, you need to start with the parents. Yes it is true. A grumpy dog can sometimes have a nice puppy. But who wants to have only one nice puppy when you can have a whole litter of them! Here at Amare Bengals we only accept well tempered animals. Loving them as much as possible the moment they touch our arms. None of our cats sit in cages while we are at work. We let them run the home to socialize with everyone and everything. Here at Amare Bengals we believe that it's hard to have a nice healthy relationship with our animals if they are locked up. We are a small cattery, making it easy to spread our love and attention to those in our household.
Alright... But why cats? Aren't dogs more social?
Oddly enough I would have picked dogs over cats most of my life. Growing up I had lived on a farm. Horses, cats, dogs, cattle, chickens, ect. It was my dog that was always with me, most of the barn cats would go and hide. The few indoor cats that we had would only come out at night, hiding at the first glance at company. It wasn't until my ex-boyfriend and I moved in with one another that I had to give into him wanting a cat. Being that he was allergic to cats I knew that I wasn't able to just go get any cat. So, I started immediately looking into breeds that didn't bother people with allergies. Bengals were one of the first cats I came across. I started going to cat shows, talking to breeders, even visiting family friends with Bengals. I fell in love with these animals. They had an exotic look that you couldn't get out of your head. Then on top of such beauty, they were very social. Didn't mind people and some even acted like dogs. My love had blossomed from my first Bengal, and I had decided that I wanted to help perfect the Bengal breed.
How special are these cats really?
Bengals in themselves have their own personality just like any other animal. But just like breeds of canine, each feline breed is known of certain aspects. Bengals are very smart! They are able to learn tricks, fetch, and even walk on leashes. Most Bengals will not hesitate to welcome you home with chattering and following you around till you sit down. Not to mention Bengals in most cases do well with other pets. Connecting well with children and having more patience with grabby hands. Giving that extra family connection as your new kitten grows with you. Bengals are high energy cats, so that means lots of attention. It helps to have a good play session at least once a day to get out that energy. Or having another furry friend that can keep up with them.
What colors do you produce?
For myself, I have always favored the silver Bengals. In my mind I have a bunch of little snow leopards walking around my house. With that being said, I have the capability to produce most colors in the Bengal world. From the original brown, the silvers, snows, and even wanting to have charcoals in the future. For my cattery I will be focusing on silvers, but that doesn't mean that I won't be having other colors in my litters.
Okay, I want a Bengal!
That's great! Just like getting anything that you add to your home, research and careful planning is needed. This is an animal, and once you bring it home it is your responsibility to love and care for it just as you would a child. After you have confirmed that you are ready to have this new family member, feel free to head over to the contact section. I'm happy to answer any questions that you have about my cattery, purchasing, or if a Bengal is right for you.
